Job summary

Monaco Ford in Niantic, Connecticut is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to repair and maintain vehicles for our customers. This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for growth within our company.

You will perform basic maintenance, diagnose issues using scanners, and communicate repair recommendations to customers and teammates. Prior auto industry experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry or an automotive program is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driverds license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of automotive tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Complete repairs and replacements of parts such as brakes, batteries, and filters.
• Utilize computer diagnostic systems to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle repairs and recommendations.
• Keep an organized and clean work area and tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on vehicles.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation for this position is $36,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
