Job summary

Team Car Care is seeking a General Service Technician at our Glenview, IL location. This entry-level role offers hands-on training to service guest vehicles, with a path to certification and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during operating hours
• Demonstrate excellent guest service and provide clear communication about guest vehicles
• Ensure service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior technicians
• Check oil level and communicate with teammates
• Ensure proper tire pressure and inflate accordingly
• Inspect and refill fluids as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Document all work performed on repair orders
• Report safety issues to management
• Maintain adherence to company policy on vehicle care
• Perform duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
