Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician in Surprise, AZ. This entry-level role focuses on oil changes, tire services, basic maintenance, and Digital Vehicle Inspections, with hands-on training and growth opportunities within a supportive shop environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive repair.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic maintenance.
• Ability to follow written safety procedures and store processes.
• Ability to work with technicians, service advisors, and leaders.
• Valid driver’s license and able to pass MVR check.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance: fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and accurate repair orders.
• Identify safety issues and report via proper channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable.
• Keep shop, service area, and showroom clean and customer-ready.
• Transport customers and parts using company/customer vehicles as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors; participate in training.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends; perform other duties as assigned.
