Job summary

Goodyear in New York’s Town of Clay is hiring an Entry Level Automotive Technician. You’ll gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by learning how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service.

Training will cover what you need to perform tire mounting and balancing, oil changes, and preventive maintenance. A valid driver’s license and being at least 18 are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in automotive maintenance is not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, and preventative maintenance.
• Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service and clear communication with guests about vehicles.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
• Maintain adherence to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
