Job summary

Aerotek in Urbana, OH is seeking entry level automotive technicians for first shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00 a.m. start as stated 6:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.). This contract-to-hire role focuses on installing and assembling truck bodies, equipment, and accessories in a shop environment.

Candidates should have hands-on garage experience, be comfortable using hand and power tools, read blueprints, and follow work orders in internal software. Welding, crane, and rigging experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on garage or body shop experience with cars and trucks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfort using internal software to follow work orders and document work.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for installations.
• Basic understanding of truck bodies and accessories.
• Strong punctuality and self-starting attitude.
• Experience with cranes or rigging is a plus.
• Familiarity with welding (MIG/TIG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble truck bodies, equipment, and accessories per specs.
• Use hand and power tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow digital work orders to plan, track, and document installs.
• Read blueprints/ drawings to ensure proper fitment.
• Operate cranes and perform basic rigging for larger parts.
• Work mostly independently, coordinate with small teams when needed.
• Maintain organized work area and follow shop safety procedures.
• Communicate status and issues with supervisors.
