Job summary

Crenlo Engineered Cabs in Watertown, SD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair automated equipment, control systems, and general facility machinery.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues, read schematics and wiring diagrams, and collaborate with operators, management, and engineering on improvements; shifts include 1st, 2nd, and weekend with differential pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Electrical Technology preferred.
• Certification from ISA (CCST) and vendor-specific certifications (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.) and OSHA preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

Job description

Summary

This position is a part of the general maintenance group that installs, maintains, and repairs automated equipment, controls systems, and general equipment in the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Help install and repair all equipment throughout the facility, primarily focusing on automated equipment and control systems
• Diagnose, repair, and document issues with electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety protocols, adhere to lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure all systems comply with safety regulations
• Assist with the upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds

Key Skills And Competencies

• Proven ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams of new and existing systems
• Working with cross-functional teams of Operators to Management to solve problems
• Excellent communication within a cross-functional team of Operators and Management to
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Engineering for new system installation, and continuous improvement projects

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Electrical Technology preferred.
• Certification from ISA (Certified Control System Technician - CCST), vendor-specific (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.) and OSHA preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting

Working Conditions/Other

• Work Hours/Status: 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm.
• 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
• Weekend shift includes Friday - Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
