Job summary

Cal State East Bay seeks an Athletic Trainer to support comprehensive medical care for intercollegiate student-athletes and to assist the daily operations of the athletic training facility. Responsibilities include injury evaluations, treatments, prevention, and rehabilitation under the Head Athletic Trainer, with travel as needed and availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field.
• BOC certification required and maintained.
• California driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operation of athletic training facility and provide medical coverage for intercollegiate practices and competitions.
• Perform injury evaluations under established protocols and in consultation with Head Athletic Trainer.
• Provide prescribed or established treatment for athletic injuries.
• Implement proactive injury prevention strategies and assist rehabilitation in collaboration with Head Athletic Trainer.
• Communicate injury status and return-to-play progress with coaches, per medical guidance.
• Serve as first responder for assigned sport supervision and home events.
