Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney in Columbus, OH to manage a high-volume bankruptcy and civil litigation caseload. You will provide fair, resolution-focused client interactions and rely on strong legal research and advocacy to navigate regulatory risks.

This role emphasizes ownership and quality work within a fast-paced firm, with opportunities for growth and a collaborative environment in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio bar license required.
• Eligibility to waive into additional states in our footprint (UBE or reciprocity).
• 0–3 years’ experience in bankruptcy, collections, civil litigation, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, solutions-focused interactions with customers while creating fair, sustainable payment resolutions.
• Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Manage a high-volume caseload and advise on legal and regulatory risks.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to efficiently resolve cases.
• Travel to courts throughout Ohio, as needed, to represent clients and attend hearings.
• Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to report on activity, results, and case progression.
