Textron Systems is seeking a 2027 Associate Accountant in Hunt Valley, MD. You will perform accounting functions across cost, general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting, supporting audits and compliance while growing your skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.

This entry-level role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Onsite work with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Ability to maintain security clearance
• Ability to analyze and interpret program financial data
• PC Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication; works well in a team
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Associate Accountants may be assigned to cost accounting areas including revenues/billings, project costing/inventory and intercompany accounting
• Handle accounts payable, government reporting, timekeeping/payroll, fixed assets, or tax accounting as assigned
• Record company financial transactions using accounting principles and policies
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and record financial transactions; support audits and management inquiries
• Interface with management to report status and corrective actions
