Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an Associate Accountant. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across cost accounting, accounts payable, general ledger, and compliance, with mentorship and development opportunities from day one.

You will perform assigned accounting functions, prepare reconciliations, support audits, and interact with management to resolve issues. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting and strong Excel skills are required, with relocation assistance available

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Ability to maintain security clearance.
• Ability to analyze and interpret program financial data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication and team work.
• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost accounting, revenues/billings, project costing/inventory and intercompany accounting.
• Record financial transactions accurately using accounting theory and practices.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and federal contracting regulations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supplemental schedules as needed.
• Support audits and provide information to management as required.
• Engage in professional development activities.
