Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 2027 Co-Op in Accounting at Hunt Valley, MD. The intern will be assigned to cost accounting, inventory, billings, intercompany accounting, accounts payable, government reporting, timekeeping/payroll, or fixed assets, supporting the accounting team and ensuring timely, accurate financial records.

Responsibilities include preparing and recording financial transactions, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and assisting with audits.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior or Senior in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field
• Ability to analyze and interpret program financial data. PC Proficiency required in Microsoft office with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and work well in a team environment
• Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record company financial transactions, preparing supplemental schedules as required.
• Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations applying appropriate analytical techniques.
• Support financial, tax, internal and government reporting audits.
• Interface with management and company personnel, as required, regarding the status of accounting transactions and corrective actions required.
• Provide support to Accounting team
• Will work onsite 20 hours per week
