Job summary

UFP Industries in Alabama is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate components and assemble finished products according to customer specifications.

You will secure parts, use hand tools, and maintain quality and safety standards while documenting production data. This entry-level role offers opportunities to learn manufacturing processes at UFP Industries' facility in Hartselle.

We welcome motivated individuals who are at least 18 and comfortable with basic math and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, or band components.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area and ensures equipment safety.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in safety/CI programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
