Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring an Assembler I at our Milwaukee, WI facility. You will fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications, ensuring correct parts and supplies are ready for operation.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, identifying and fitting parts, using hand tools, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and recording production data. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
