Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. The role emphasizes setup, precise fitting, and safe operation of hand tools in a clean, organized work area.

The position supports quality standards, maintains records, and participates in safety and CI programs. Candidates should meet basic education requirements and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with procedures; may label and band components.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  • Adheres to safety and quality procedures; participates in safety and CI programs.
