Job summary

UFP Industries in Alabama is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct parts and supplies needed for the operation.

This role emphasizes safety and quality. You will set up work areas, fit parts, operate hand tools, and help keep production records, while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe workspace in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience is required; however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean, and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
