Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and manage parts and supplies required for the operation, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role involves setting up work areas, using hand tools, and maintaining accurate production records while following established safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required, but 6 months of manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components as needed.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports issues.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
