Dover Food Retail is seeking an entry-level Assembler I to complete refrigeration cases or sub-assemblies at our Colonial Heights, VA site. You will read orders, identify parts and tools, measure components, and fasten units using common hardware.

Qualifications

• Entry level role assembling refrigeration components and cases.
• Read and follow work orders and assembly instructions.
• Identify parts, tools and measurements to complete assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an order.
• Identify parts used on the product line and their placement.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Performs assembly tasks with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and part descriptions from the work order.
• Use gauging and dimensioning information provided.
• Read rulers, tape measures and similar tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Team up with assembly colleagues to finish units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
