Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking an entry-level Assembler to complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies, including tanks, canopies, base frames, hardware kits, plenums, or other parts as assigned.

You will read orders, identify parts for the product line, and use hand or power tools to assemble components. You may work at different stations and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• Ability to read orders and work instructions.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order and identify parts for the product line.
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.
• Use hand or power tools to complete assembly steps.
• Read rulers, measuring tools and dimensioning instructions.
• Assemble parts and fasten with bolts, screws or rivets.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain equipment and tooling through preventive maintenance.
