Job summary

Aerotek in Hugo, MN is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Assembler to build wall panels, trusses, floors, and other structural components in a clean indoor facility. This contract-to-hire role offers hands-on training, teamwork, and steady overtime.

You’ll read tape measurements, operate hand and power tools, and learn trade skills through structured training and on-the-job coaching. Prior carpentry or construction exposure is welcome, with lifting up to 75 lb and 50 hrs/week possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and pass a tape measure assessment.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience using power tools, nail guns, saws, or similar equipment.
• Experience with hand and power tools in manufacturing, construction, assembly, or mechanical environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, production-driven environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work overtime, averaging up to 50 hours per week.
• Must provide or purchase required basic tools (tool belt, tape measure, utility knife).

What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Assembler, you'll work with a team to build high-quality structural components in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wall panels, floor systems, roof trusses, stairs, and other structural components.
• Read and use tape measurements accurately, including measurements down to 1/8 inch.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, nail guns, table saws, and other production equipment safely and effectively.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to solve production and assembly challenges.
• Participate in training, orientation, and ongoing skill development programs.
• Support production schedules, including overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and pass a tape measure assessment.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience using power tools, nail guns, saws, or similar equipment.
• Experience working with hand and power tools in manufacturing, construction, assembly, or mechanical environments.

• Forklift operation experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Shift Options

1st Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 5:00 AM-3:30 PM or 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Approximately 50 hours per week
• Voluntary overtime available on Saturdays

2nd Shift

• Monday-Thursday
• 4:30 PM-4:30 AM
• Approximately 48 hours per week, including built-in overtime
• Voluntary overtime available on Fridays

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hugo, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
