Job summary

ARES Corporation in Virginia is seeking an entry-level ASR-8 Radar Junior Technician for the ROC Surveillance Radar section. The role is open to qualified Bargaining Unit employees and features a fixed salary under the current CBA.

The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of legacy FAA radar systems, interpret schematics, and support system readiness. A NASA tower climbing certificate or ability to obtain one is required, along with the ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• Requires a combination of education and work experience totaling 5 years.
• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of legacy FAA-certified RADAR systems.
• FAA ASR-8 certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Willingness to perform physical maintenance and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of RADAR systems.
• Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics for diagnostics.
• Maintain system readiness and perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Support on-call or irregular hours for system maintenance.
