Job summary

Blythe Construction is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to support road construction projects. The role involves hands-on tasks, operating basic equipment, and maintaining safety standards on outdoor worksites.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and can understand directions, with a preference for a valid driver’s license. This entry-level position offers growth with industrial experience and outdoor exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Walking alongside Asphalt Paver operations, identifying asphalt surface areas that require attention.
• Utilizing hand tools, such as Asphalt Lute and Shovel, to manipulate asphalt to ensure smooth surface.
• Serving as Spotter for dump trucks and other heavy equipment; involves visual, verbal and hand communication.
• Operating small equipment, such as broom tractor, skid steer, roller, chop saw, grinders, walk behind saw, etc.
• Shoveling, sweeping, and using a wheelbarrow.
• Other duties, as assigned.
