Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the perioperative team in an on-site, full-time capacity. You will build foundational skills through structured training while supporting anesthesia providers in transplant, cardiac, obstetric, trauma, and imaging services.

The role is physically active and requires reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication. After orientation, expect participation in call and weekend rotations, with a progressive career ladder and ongoing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of relevant healthcare support experience.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthesia machines and equipment for procedures.
• Set up operating rooms with airway, monitoring, and specialty equipment.
• Support video and direct laryngoscopy equipment, invasive monitoring setups, and related systems.
• Assist with room turnover and supply restocking; provide handoff of needs between shifts.

Skills
