Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. is seeking an anesthesia technician to assist the anesthesia team with equipment setup, maintenance, and supply management across surgical cases.

You will help prepare monitoring devices, delivery systems, medications, and supplies, and assist with patient positioning and line placement under supervision. The role includes supporting turnover, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance while collaborating with the anesthesia staff and hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology preferred.
• Prior anesthesia tech or patient-care experience preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• ASAT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia team in preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies for operating rooms.
• Maintain and stock monitoring devices, anesthesia delivery systems, medications, and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, line placement, and transport to recovery as directed by anesthesia staff.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment; support turnover between cases.
