PLEASE NOTE: A lateral transfer candidate shall transfer directly into the established wage scale, based on the number of prior years of service:

  • 1 Year - $60,823
  • 2 Years - $64,624
  • 3 Years - $66,941
  • 4 Years - $70,226
  • 5+ Years - $77,929

A “year of service” is defined as a minimum of 2,912 hours worked as a fire medic.

Qualifications
  • State of Michigan Firefighter I and II certification
  • State of Michigan Paramedic Certification
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) Certifications
  • Successful completion of the EMPCO, Inc written examination (you must select Redford Township as a municipality to receive your score) or the Certificate for Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) Firefighter’s Testing Program Written and CPAT Certification
