Job summary

KX Technologies LLC is seeking an entry-level Chemist I in West Haven, CT. This 3-month temporary role supports the development of water filtration technologies by performing routine analytical testing and data entry under supervision of senior staff.

Core duties include operating analytical instruments, preparing samples, and ensuring timely reporting of results. Bachelor’s in chemistry or related field is required; associate degree with lab experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field; associate degree with lab experience considered.
• Experience in industrial or academic lab settings preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and data entry systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit samples for analytical testing per protocols.
• Operate and maintain instruments including ICP, GC, EDX, TGA, SEM, IC, and UV-VIS.
• Record data accurately in laboratory information systems.
• Perform basic data interpretation and flag anomalies for review by senior staff.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, organization and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely testing requests completion.
