Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security seeks an Entry-Level Aircraft Machinist to join the Air Dominance Operations team in Mesa, AZ. You will work on a collaborative manufacturing team in the ACFC, performing CNC and water-jet operations, enabling the fabrication of complex aircraft parts.

Ideal candidates show strong leadership and teamwork, and can adapt to a fast-paced environment. This on-site role requires shift availability and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Must have High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC machine operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Available to work any shift (1st or 2nd shift).

Responsibilities

• CNC machine operations (Trim and Drill).
• Water-Jet machining operations (Trim).
• Ultrasonic core carving and composite machining.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair metallic or composite production and aircraft parts and assemblies using manual or CNC mills, lathes, jig bores and grinders.
• Identify nonconforming parts and assemblies and processes.
• Work with engineering to improve manufacturing processes.
• Set up and use precision measuring instruments (dial indicators, micrometers, etc.).
• Develop layouts required to fabricate machined parts and plan sequences of operations.
• Set up equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses.
• Ensure all work is free of FOD and complies with specifications.
• Report non-conformances to supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Report on job status to coworkers and supervision.
• Recommend design changes to engineering staff.
