Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Kansas is seeking a Material Review Engineer to join its MRB team within Boeing’s Spirit Commercial operations. You will assess nonconformances, document dispositions, and ensure compliance with FAA and OEM requirements in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) and may involve leading cross‑functional teams, root-cause analysis, and applying knowledge of machined parts, composites, and CATIA V5.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or will have completed required degree by July 31st, 2027.
  • Experience with MRB in aerospace production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent MRB in Aerospace production/preproduction environment.
  • Dispositions for production nonconformances under FAA and OEM requirements.
  • Disposition nonconformances on aircraft components under fast-paced production schedules.
  • Apply knowledge of machined parts, weldments, composites, and large assemblies.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to achieve engineering and manufacturing goals.
  • Investigate root cause and recommend design resolution.
  • Improve producibility of hardware using systems thinking.
