BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking an Actuarial I for on-site work in Columbia, SC. This full-time role supports actuarial services through research, analysis, and reporting to evaluate profitability and financial performance of existing and new lines of business.

Responsibilities include assisting with data testing, regulatory reporting, updating actuarial models, and comparing rates to aid pricing decisions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor in a job-related field is required.
• One SOA or CAS exam completed is required.
• Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication, and analytical thinking skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with statistical and reporting functions, regulatory reporting, data testing, and research.
• Prepares and updates actuarial models and reconciles with financial statements.
• Performs basic analysis of rates and rating structures for pricing decisions.
• Maintains and enhances financial reporting databases.
• Supports various other studies and analyses evaluating future contingent events.
