Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking an entry level Accountant in Medford, OR to join our team. The candidate should be motivated to grow, customer service oriented, and capable of critical thinking with detail and process orientation.

Responsibilities include general accounting, financial analysis, budgeting support, and inventory reconciliation. Education required is a Bachelor's degree in accounting; ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle/PeopleSoft) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience in related job function.
• Experience: Up to three years in accounting, preferably in manufacturing; ERP experience preferred.
• Intermediate MS Office skills focused on Excel; familiarity with accounting systems (SAP/Oracle/PeopleSoft).

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and financial analysis; prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and report accounting transactions and maintain data integrity per policies including SOX if applicable.
• Provide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Conduct financial analyses and modeling to assess risk and opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
