Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six accounting credit hours and a minimum grade of C or better.
• At least one year of accounting experience.
• Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain by date of hire; COP within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Post data to general ledgers, registers, journals and logs; prepare journal vouchers.
• Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report and related statements.
• Maintain and reconcile ledgers; prepare monthly fiscal reports for funds.
• Prepare department financial reports and enter data into databases.
• Respond to auditors' questions during audits and provide training to staff.
• Monitor accounts, classify expenditures, and liaise with departments as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance with six credit hours in accounting
