  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts by posting journal entries.

  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
  • Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Assist with audit preparation.

Job Summary
  • Seeking a detail-oriented entry-level accountant to join our finance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills while supporting day-to-day financial operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts by posting journal entries and reconciling account balances.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
  • Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Assist with audit preparation by gathering requested documentation.
  • Process payroll data and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
  • Support senior accountants with special projects and analysis.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems, such as recordkeeping and filing.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
