Job summary

Legrand is hiring an Entry Level Manufacturing Associate for the 2nd shift in West Hartford, CT. This role supports the Wiremold Team with fabrication and assembly, including pressing, tapping, welding, sealing, labeling, and testing of assemblies. You will also handle material records and participate in TPM and 5C housekeeping.

The position requires basic tool skills, the ability to read work orders, and a willingness to cross-train and rotate in the work cell to ensure quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English fluently; high school education or equivalent.
• Six months of manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to perform standard work processes and rotate within the cell.
• Willingness to cross-train on all rotation assignments.
• Able to work from paperwork such as blueprints or standard work sheets.
• Able to solve mathematical equations.
• Good organizing and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly activities including pressing, tapping, welding, labeling, stamping, counting, loading/unloading.
• Cutting to length and wiring, assembling power/data devices, and testing assemblies.
• Use hand tools, air screw drivers, tapping machines, and other equipment as directed.
• Record and report on materials handled, packed, stored, or transported.
• Place completed work in designated locations; adjust packaging machines as needed.
• Load/unload work in process to machines; perform restarts and resets.
• Maintain equipment and a clean 5C work area; follow TPM schedules.
• Adhere to OSHA safety procedures and ensure safe work practices.
• Record quality and productivity data; work solo or in groups as required.
