Chaves Perlowitz Luftig LLP, a forward-thinking real estate law firm in New York City, seeks an Entry/Jr-Level Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years' experience handling civil litigation from pleadings through trial in state and federal courts.

You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, conduct research, draft motions, appear at conferences, take depositions, and assist with trial preparation in a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.

We are seeking an Entry/Jr-Level Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of experience handling civil litigation matters from pleadings through trial in New York State Supreme Court and/or Federal Courts. Appellate experience is preferred but not required.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and analytical skills and be capable of independently managing all pre-trial aspects of complex real estate and commercial litigation. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, preparing and responding to discovery, conducting legal research, drafting motions, appearing at court conferences and motion hearings, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparation.

Required

1.Candidates must have 1-3 years of experience handling litigation matters from pleadings through trial in New York State Supreme Court and/or Federal Court.

2.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

3.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

4.Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software systems.

5.Ability to commute to our NYC office five days per week.
