Job summary

Lumbermen’s, a Minnesota-based leader in door solutions, seeks a Field Service Technician for our Entry Door segment. You will service and repair installed doors, build strong customer relationships, and maintain product knowledge in a safety-conscious team environment.

The role requires hands-on electro-mechanical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Overtime and travel may be involved; a clothing allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction/building processes.
• Service-oriented and customer-focused.
• Able to work cooperatively with sales and production teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Maintains a clean, neat, professional appearance.
• Willing and able to learn; precise with attention to detail.
• Possess strong electro-mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Represent Lumbermen’s favorably and build customer relationships.
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our products.
• Assess service/installation needs based on service requests.
• Complete service/repair/install work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Complete all service documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory as applicable.
• Safely operate and maintain assigned company vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle is stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Report any accidents promptly.
• Assist with production support in the Door shop as needed.
