Job summary

Orion Steel Group LLC in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking an Entry CNC Operator to join the Roll Shop team. You will dress and turn rolls for our Rolling Mills, operating CNC lathe and grinder safely and efficiently.

You will also handle rolls for shipment and provide information to the Rolling Mills. The role requires reading prints, selecting tools, maintaining tolerances, and coordinating with mill personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified CNC operator with 3-5 years machining experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read prints.
• 2 or 4 year degree in CNC Programming, Machining, or related field.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used for industrial purposes.
• Ability to safely operate power and hand tools and machinery.
• Physically capable in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and grinder safely and efficiently.
• Read prints and select programs, templates, and tools.
• Turn rolls and verify tolerances; handle rolls for shipment.
• Provide information and technical assistance to Rolling Mills.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and observe safety rules.
• Perform routine maintenance and notify on abnormal conditions.
