Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking an Entry CNC Operator to support the Roll Shop. The role focuses on the dressing and turning of rolls for rolling mills in a safe, efficient manner.

You will operate CNC lathe and grinder, read prints, determine tooling, and assist maintenance. Must have 3–5 years machining experience or a CNC degree; OSHA 10 certification desired; shift rotation; competitive pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified CNC operator with 3–5 years machining experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read prints and measurements.
• 2 or 4 year degree in CNC Programming, Machining, or related field.
• Knowledge of tools used for industrial manufacturing in heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and grinder safely and efficiently.
• Read prints, select programs, templates, and tools for operation.
• Turn rolls and inspect tolerances to spec.
• Coordinate with mill personnel and assist maintenance as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and observe SOPs.
