Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and structural components as specified.
• Set up and operate welding machines, torches, grinders and tools safely.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to ensure correct dimensions.
• Inspect welds for quality and accuracy to minimize rework.
• Prepare surfaces by cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE at all times.
• Adapt to extended shifts and possible overtime as needed.
• Complete the required written exam and 1G weld test.

Calling all MIG welders! Have you recently graduated with your welding certificate or have years of experience? We are partnering with an industry-leading manufacturer to immediately fill 1st and 2nd shift MIG Welder positions offering competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, determined by your weld test performance.

This position is a direct-hire opportunity that offers consistent work, excellent pay, and an opportunity for overtime on Saturday to significantly boost your weekly earnings.

Interview & Weld Test Process: Interviews consist of a written test and a physical 1G MIG weld test. A bend test will be submitted for lab review, with official results returned within up to one week. Job offers will be extended based on combined test performance.

Required Interview Equipment: You must bring your own steel-toe boots/shoes, welding hood, welding gloves, and safety glasses to the interview.

Salary: $44,000 - $52,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding operations on carbon steel and structural components according to job specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and safely operate welding machines, torches, grinders, and standard hand tools.
• Read and accurately interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
• Inspect completed welds for proper dimensions, strength, and overall quality to minimize rework.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
• Wear all required PPE at all times (steel-toe footwear, welding hood, protective gloves, and safety glasses).
• Adapt to extended shift hours and weekend production demands as required by business needs.
• Complete an initial written exam and physical 1G MIG weld test as part of the qualification process.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience required (2+ years strongly preferred).
• Shift Availability: Must be open to flexible hours and extended schedule demands:
  • 1st Shift: Standard 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Current schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • 2nd Shift: Standard 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM (Current schedule: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, with Saturdays availablebased on production needs

The essential functions of this role include:
