Job summary

Houston City College seeks a Training Materials Developer for the Office of Entrepreneurial Initiatives to design and update curricula, training content, and supporting materials across multiple sites in the city.

You will collaborate with entrepreneurial staff to assess training needs, tailor content to objectives, and ensure currency of teaching methods. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is required.
• Experience in Business, Entrepreneurship and teaching preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to teach day or evening classes at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Entrepreneurial staff to assess clients’ training needs.
• Prepare training content for designated clients using standard lesson plans and syllabi.
• Customize training content and format to fit Entrepreneurial objectives.
• Customization and preparation may include research, handouts, training manuals and related administrative procedures.
• Update and revise course content and teaching methods to stay current.
• Maintain familiarity with texts, materials and teaching aids and recommend adoption when appropriate.
• Attend scheduled meetings with Entrepreneurial staff.
