Job summary

City of Columbia is seeking a program coordinator to coordinate community-based entrepreneurship initiatives in Columbia and Boone County. The role involves coaching startups, delivering workshops, and building partnerships with local organizations and government resources.

The position emphasizes data-driven reporting, community engagement, and occasional evening events to support business growth. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• Experience launching, managing, or owning a small business or startup preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides business coaching, mentoring, and training services to promote job creation and growth.
• Provides coaching and training to entrepreneurs and businesses to support development.
• Develops and maintains relationships with businesses, community organizations, and investors.
• Develops, coordinates, and delivers entrepreneurship programs, workshops, and events.
• Promotes programs through community engagement, communications, marketing, and social media.
• Maintains client and program records; collects and analyzes data; prepares reports and presentations.
