Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an Entertainment Operator – Media and Content to manage daily video and content operations across shipboard venues. You will set up, operate, and tear down equipment for production shows, headline entertainers, and other events, ensuring screen quality and visual design meet standards.

You will liaise with stage and production managers, attend rehearsals, assist with stage resets, monitor inventory of video gear, and help with purchase orders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in theater, 3d design, or entertainment technology from an accredited university or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in entertainment or screen content and video operation, design, set up, and maintenance is required.
  • Working/operational knowledge with Pandoras Box and Resolume; familiarity with Pixera, TouchDesigner, Chataigne, or Notch.
  • Experience with show networks (Art-Net, sACN, NDI) or configuring IP-based video/control systems is a must.
  • Extensive knowledge of video equipment, media servers, LED screens, and related electrical knowledge.
  • Previous cruise ship or touring experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a diverse team; ability to adapt to fast-paced changes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all media and video elements for scheduled events in the vessel’s main theater and alternative entertainment venues as necessary.
  • Maintain brand and industry standards for video quality in the main theater and satellite venues; monitor ship network health.
  • Follow daily schedules for events, rehearsals, and performances and liaise with Stage & Production Manager and Technical Director.
  • Maintain inventory records for consumables and health of media servers; assist in stage resets and theater setup as required.
  • Report broken or deficient equipment promptly; ensure video systems remain compliant with Head Office approvals.
  • Open theater doors 30 minutes prior to showtime and ensure high production value across venues.
