Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Assistant Manager, Audio/Video Technical to lead onsite AV design, installation and operations across entertainment projects. You will oversee day-to-day execution, vendor coordination, and documentation to ensure creative fidelity and reliable performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with AV teams, PMs and vendors, maintaining system docs, and leading staff during installations and live events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in theatrical or entertainment AV design, implementation, or production.
  • Extensive theme park experience in technical AV for live entertainment.
  • Experience leading technical teams, coordinating vendors, and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills across levels.
  • Ability to communicate across lines of business and management levels.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced production schedules.
  • Knowledge of software including Q-SYS, QLab, Reaper, Mainstage, Pro Tools, Dante, IT networking.
  • Knowledge of hardware such as Yamaha, Allen & Heath, QSC, Alcorn McBride, Geffen, Blackmagic, Brightsign, Gilderfluke.
  • Excellent troubleshooting for complex systems.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, nights as required.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Passion for driving high-quality end-product and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite design implementation, installation and maintenance of AV systems.
  • Oversee day-to-day project execution, quality, inventory and logistics.
  • Partner with PM, Tech Management, AV Creative, Entertainment teams and vendors.
  • Represent AV Tech in project meetings, provide updates and plans.
  • Develop and coordinate AV system documentation and drawings.
  • Coordinate system designs based on project requirements.
  • Act as information conduit between project teams and AV management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on installations, commissioning, and deliverables.
  • Maintain AV system documents and archiving.
  • Input and track inventory of Entertainment technical AV equipment.
  • Submit and track logistic requests for AV equipment.
  • Monitor performance via show reports and maintenance docs.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and lifecycle planning.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to AV personnel during installations, rehearsals, live operations and strikes.
  • Arrange staffing and support schedules with Entertainment Operations.
