Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Assistant Manager, Audio/Video Technical to lead on-site design, installation, operation and maintenance of AV systems for entertainment projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution across marquee events, park entertainment and special projects.

You will oversee project execution, technical quality, inventory management and logistics, while coordinating with project management, tech management, AV creative and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in theatrical or entertainment audio/video design, implementation, or production.
  • Extensive theme park experience in technical audio/video production for live theatrical entertainment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, coordinating vendors, and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize competing project demands.
  • Confidence to effectively communicate across all lines of business and with all levels of management.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and fast-paced environments with accelerated production schedules.
  • Strong working knowledge of software: Q-SYS, QLab, Reaper, Mainstage, Pro Tools, Dante, IT Networking.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware: Yamaha, Allen & Heath, QSC, Alcorn McBride, Geffen, Blackmagic, Brightsign, Gilderfluke.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the AV Creative team, vendors and partners to ensure successful implementation, maintenance and operation of AV designs and equipment.
  • Represent the AV Tech team during project meetings, providing updates and implementation planning.
  • Collaborate with AV Creative team and project management to present needs and solutions for design changes.
  • Review and coordinate development of Audio/Video system documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate development and implementation of Audio/Video system designs based on project requirements.
  • Act as a conduit of information between project teams and AV Management on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate staffing and vendor activities across installations, commissioning, and deliverables.
  • Maintain and archive documents and system files for all AV systems.
  • Input, maintain and track inventory of Entertainment Technical AV equipment.
  • Submit and track logistic requests for AV equipment.
  • Monitor technical performance via show reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs and lifecycle planning for AV equipment.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to Entertainment Technical Services Audio/Video personnel.
