Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Entertainment Art Crew member in Anaheim to load/unload sets, deliver assets, and assist with warehouse duties. You will work on event setup and striking, driving various vehicles, and supporting on-site crews in dynamic outdoor environments.

Must be at least 18, hold a California driver’s license with a clean record, and be available for seasonal hours across 1st–3rd shifts. Training provided; benefits include health options and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License.
  • Must have a driving record with no moving violations in the past 12 months.
  • Maintain a good driving record both on the job and in one's private life.
  • Receptive to be enrolled in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
  • Eager to interact and assist Cast Members and Guests.
  • Energetic and focused to complete all tasks safety, especially when working 3rd shift.
  • Adaptable to adjust work priorities on short notice yet ensure on-time event opening.
  • Willingness to follow instructions.
  • Cooperate with fellow Cast Members and within and outside the maintenance Line of Business, including engineers and operations personnel.
  • Able to interface with other crafts, such as electricians and sound mechanics.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions with heat, cold, and all types of weather.
  • Reliable to report to assignment on-time and prepare for work.
  • Good verbal skills to converse with team members, management, engineering, operations, and contractors.
  • Able to drive trucks and vans.
  • Seasonal availability requires year-round availability for holidays and all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) as deemed required by management.

Responsibilities

  • Review load list for events.
  • Load, offload, and strike assets and secure properly for safe transport.
  • Set-up assets under the direction of the art specialist or art director and maintain Disney show quality standards.
  • Review the condition of the assets prior to strike and notate any damage.
  • Off load assets upon return to the warehouse.
  • Perform minor repairs to assets if required.
  • Review load list or prop pickup list for pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify address, contact info, and map directions for pickups/deliveries.
  • Ensure assets are securely packed for safe transport and vehicles have adequate fuel.
  • Notify requester when pick-up or delivery is complete.
  • Drive seven-passenger vans, cargo vans, small and large trucks (Training provided).
  • Check in with Warehouse Lead for directions.
  • Assist in stocking/pulling assets using forklift/pallet jack.
  • Measure, describe, and photograph asset for inventory.
  • Perform basic cleanup and housekeeping in the warehouse.

The Entertainment Art Crew has the unique opportunity to set up and strike scenic elements for special events. In this position you load and unload trucks with sets, props, and tools, coordinate pickup and delivery of artwork, and provide assistance with warehouse storage and asset inventory.

You will report to the Art Services Manager.

This is a Casual Regular or Seasonal role with no guarantee of weekly working hours, as hours will fluctuate based on business needs.

What You Will Do:
Set up and strike of events:
  • Review load list for events
  • Load, offload, and strike assets and secure properly for safe transport
  • Set-up assets under the direction of the art specialist or art director and maintain Disney show quality standards
  • Review the condition of the assets prior to strike and notate any damage
  • Off load assets upon return to the warehouse
  • Perform minor repairs to assets if required
Pickup and deliver assets, artwork, and other 3rd party vendors:
  • Review load list or prop pickup list
  • Verify address, contact info, and map directions
  • Ensure the assets are securely packed for safe transport
  • Ensure vehicles have adequate fuel for the trip
  • Notify requester when pick-up or delivery is complete
  • Drive seven (7) passenger vans, cargo vans, small and large enclosed trucks, and small and large stake bed trucks (Training will be provided as part of on-the-job training)
Warehouse assistance:
  • Check in with Warehouse Lead, or inventory Cast Member for directions
  • Assist in putting away or pulling assets in the warehouse, if properly trained, by operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
  • For inventory, measure, describe, and photograph asset before adding to the inventory system
  • Perform basic cleanup and housekeeping functions: break down cardboard, sweep, clear aisles of assets and equipment, and wash/clean oversized set pieces
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License

  • Maintain a good driving record both on the job and in one's private life
  • Receptive to be enrolled in the DMV Pull Notice Program

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Entertainment industry experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Driving experience, ideally with larger vehicles (e.g., box trucks, tractor trailer, semi[1]tractor, etc.)
  • Full Availability seven (7) days a week
  • Bilingual
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required

This position is based in Anaheim, CA. The hiring range/pay rate for the Entertainment Art Crew is $29.00 per hour. The pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package,
