Program Summary

Job Summary

We seek a skilled professional to enhance an enterprise-wide business tool. This individual will have Programmer and Developer expertise, responsible for developing and deploying tool modifications, supporting daily tool operations, and interacting with customers and administrators.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy enterprise tool changes as requested by the system lead.
• Create test methods to validate changes prior to deployment.
• Design test schemes including user testing.
• Support daily operations and troubleshoot as needed.
• Review feature requests and collaborate on prioritization with the system lead.
• Participate in planning and scheduling tool improvements.
• Partner cross-functionally to assess and implement changes.
• Assist in decision-making impacting daily operations.
• Engage with customers regarding tool issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of industry experience with Java, Oracle, JBOSS, Linux application programming, and user interfaces, or equivalent.
• US Citizen due to ITAR and customer requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, algorithms, exception handling, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Java APIs and frameworks on JBOSS/Linux/Unix.
• Ability to modify Linux scripts.
• Experience with Oracle database design for data warehousing and web apps.
• Experience with RESTful web services and modernization of legacy Java applications.
• Security vulnerability remediation in Java web apps.
• Experience with cloud servers/databases, especially Azure/Microsoft.
• Creative problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
