Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise Applications, seeks a Technical Director to lead the SCEIS enterprise technology operations from its Columbia, SC campus. You will direct enterprise applications, software development, systems integration, and modernization initiatives to ensure secure, scalable services for statewide operations.

This onsite role requires strategic leadership, collaboration with executive stakeholders, and hands-on oversight of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, MIS, engineering, business, or related field.
Extensive experience leading enterprise application development and large-scale IT initiatives.
Experience managing technical teams and enterprise architecture.
Experience with SDLC and operational support.

Responsibilities

Direct enterprise development services, reporting and analytics, systems administration, and enterprise architecture.
Direct staffing strategies, resource allocation, contractor oversight, and organizational development activities.
Lead technology planning and architectural activities supporting current and future business requirements.
Lead and support staff through coaching, training, and performance development.
Direct activities supporting cybersecurity coordination, risk management, disaster recovery, and resiliency.
Provide oversight of technology vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers.
Support division leadership in modernization efforts and enterprise objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
