Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise systems development, application support, reporting and analytics, systems integration, database administration, automation or web development.
  • Experience independently developing technical solutions and supporting enterprise applications is required.

  • Develops, maintains, enhances, and supports enterprise applications, integrations, reports, dashboards, analytics solutions, and database-driven web applications.
  • Independently develops SQL queries, APIs, automation solutions, reporting processes, and data extraction procedures.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enterprise technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex technical issues and participates in enterprise system upgrades or change management initiatives.

Description

The Enterprise Systems and Data Analytics Developer II supports the university’s mission by creating and sustaining technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness, increase access to reliable information, and enable data-informed decision-making across the institution. This position serves as a bridge between business needs and technology capabilities, ensuring that enterprise systems, applications, and data resources align with institutional goals and evolving operational requirements. Through collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams, the role helps drive process improvements, enhance user experiences, and promotes the efficient use of technology and data to support strategic priorities.

Duties
  • Develops, maintains, enhances, and supports enterprise applications, integrations, reports, dashboards, analytics solutions, and database-driven web applications to support university operations and business objectives
  • Independently develops SQL queries, APIs, automation solutions, reporting processes, and data extraction procedures to support institutional reporting and operational effectiveness
  • Designs, develops, and supports database-driven web applications and user-facing technology solutions that improve business processes and enhance user experiences
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders, university departments, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and implement enterprise technology solutions supporting university-wide initiatives
  • Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex application, integration, reporting, database, and web-related issues by analyzing root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Experience participating in enterprise system implementations, upgrades, or change management initiatives
Marginal Duties
  • Participates in enterprise system upgrades, testing, deployments, implementations, and change management activities to support system reliability and continuous improvement
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation, coding standards, support procedures, and implementation guidelines to promote consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Assists with data governance initiatives, data validation activities, reporting quality assurance, and process improvement efforts to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency
  • Provides day-to-day technical guidance, knowledge sharing, troubleshooting support, and best practice recommendations to developers and project team members
Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise systems development, application support, reporting and analytics, systems integration, database administration, automation processes, or web application development
  • Experience independently developing technical solutions and supporting enterprise applications is required

License/Certifications:

  • None
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle-based ERP systems, or other enterprise application platforms
  • Experience with SQL/PLSQL, APIs, integrations, automation tools, and database-driven web applications
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Argos, or similar technologies
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, .Net, PowerShell, or related technologies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of enterprise applications, relational databases, integrations, reporting tools, and web technologies
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, application support practices, and analytics concepts
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, security standards, and technology best practices related to enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of enterprise reporting methodologies, automation technologies, and business process improvement practices
  • Knowledge of change management and implementation processes for enterprise systems

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Work is primarily performed in a typical interior office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or physical risks. Position may require occasional after-hours support, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address system issues, upgrades, implementations, or critical operational needs

Physical Demands:

  • Work involves prolonged periods of sitting while using computers and related technology equipment
  • Sitting: Approximately 75–85% of work time
  • Standing/Walking: Approximately 15–25% of work time
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding and operating computer equipment
  • Requires visual acuity to view computer monitors and analyze data
  • Requires hearing and speaking ability to communicate effectively with users and team members
  • May occasionally lift and transport equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Requires precise hand-eye coordination for computer-related tasks
