Job summary

Binghamton University is seeking an Enterprise Systems Administrator (Lead Programmer/Analyst) to help advance the university's enterprise systems within the Information Technology Services Department. The role focuses on maintaining Windows and Linux servers, scripting with PowerShell, and ensuring reliable, scalable infrastructure in a large university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Sciences, or related field—OR—Associate's with 2 years of Systems Administration
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux systems management, Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in large, complex organizations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in a team
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• General systems maintenance
• Performance monitoring
• Provide support and guidance to university end users including students, faculty, researchers, and staff
• Develop processes/workflows for ticket management and efficiency
