Job summary

VIA Metro Transit is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage enterprise systems and infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, security, and capacity. You’ll support upgrades, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and infrastructure improvements while collaborating with Innovation and Technology teams, application owners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field and at least three years of systems administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of systems administration experience; substitution allowed year-for-year.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, Hyper-V, and enterprise storage environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Escalation point for infrastructure issues; collaborate with IT teams and vendors.
• Maintain system health, performance, capacity, and logs; patching and upgrades.
• Provide backup, recovery, and disaster recovery support; document changes.
• Assist in design and implementation of infra improvements and migrations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and change-management records.
