Job summary

Factory in San Francisco is hiring a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team and own both pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle outcomes. You will shape the team, define operating playbooks, and ensure successful pilots, security reviews, and production rollouts for our largest customers.

You will recruit leaders, coach engineers, and partner closely with Enterprise Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading Enterprise Solutions/Field Engineering teams in enterprise software.
• Strong track record sourcing, assessing and closing senior technical talent.
• Fluent in modern software development workflows, tooling, CI/CD, and AI coding tools.
• Proven ability to partner with Sales while protecting technical integrity.
• Comfort in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Build the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team: define hiring profile, recruit and close founding Solutions Engineers, grow the team with the Enterprise pipeline.
• Design and iterate the team's operating playbook across the full lifecycle: discovery, pilot scoping, success metrics, security and compliance reviews, production rollout, and ongoing adoption and expansion.
• Own the team's technical win rate, time-to-technical-win, pilot-to-production conversion, and post-sales adoption and expansion; report to GTM leadership and coach the team.
• Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives to run high-quality technical discovery, demos, and proofs of concept tied to customer outcomes.
• Carry accounts directly while the team ramps, and serve as escalation point for complex evaluations, at-risk deployments, and high-stakes Enterprise deals.
• Onboard, coach, and develop Solutions Engineers; set expectations, career paths, and performance standards, shortening ramp time with enablement.
• Act as the voice of the field, feeding customer insight back to Product and Engineering.
