Job summary

Placements24 partners with a leading agricultural technology firm to hire an Enterprise Solutions Architect based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design and guide enterprise-wide technology solutions aligned with business strategy, spanning cloud, on-premises systems, data, and applications.

You will mentor IT teams, establish standards, and stay ahead of emerging technologies. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in enterprise architecture, strong cloud and API experience, and TOGAF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise-wide solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), application architecture, data architecture, and infrastructure.
• Experience with integration patterns, API design, and middleware technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working with diverse IT environments.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
• Design and guide the implementation of integrated technology solutions across various business units.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet enterprise needs.
• Establish architectural standards, principles, and best practices for the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance.
• Assess and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of solutions.
• Oversee the integration of different systems and applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
